Wrinkle Relaxer Instructions

 Pre-Wrinkle Relaxer Treatment Instructions

To ensure optimal results and minimize side effects, follow these guidelines before your Botox treatment:

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from taking aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood-thinning supplements for at least 3-5 days before treatment (unless prescribed by a doctor).
  • Limit Alcohol Consumption: Avoid alcohol 24-48 hours prior to injections to reduce the risk of bruising.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water for better skin health and treatment effectiveness.
  • Avoid Skin Irritants: Do not use retinol, AHAs, or exfoliating treatments on the treatment area for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
  • Notify Your Provider Prior to Appointment: Inform your injector if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Reschedule If Necessary: If you have an active infection, recent vaccination, are currently taking antibiotics, have a rash or cold sore in the treatment area, please reschedule your appointment until these conditions have fully resolved.  


Post- Wrinkle Relaxer Treatment Instructions

Proper aftercare helps ensure the best results and minimizes complications:

  • Do Not Rub or Touch the Area: Avoid massaging or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 4-6 hours to prevent unintended wrinkle relaxer migration.
  • Stay Upright: Remain in an upright position for at least 4 hours post-treatment; avoid lying down.
  • Avoid Strenuous Exercise: Refrain from intense workouts, saunas, or hot yoga for 24 hours to prevent increased blood flow that may affect results.
  • Limit Alcohol & Blood Thinners: Continue avoiding alcohol and NSAIDs for 24 hours post-treatment to reduce bruising.
  • Delay Skin Treatments: Avoid facials, chemical peels, microneedling, or laser treatments for at least 1-2 weeks after Botox.
  • Mild Bruising or Swelling: If bruising occurs, apply a cold compress gently and consider using Arnica gel to speed healing.

Results & Follow-Up

  • Botox results begin to appear within 3-5 days, with full effects visible at 10-14 days.
  • If a touch-up is needed, wait at least 2 weeks before scheduling adjustments.
  • Results typically last 3-4 months; regular maintenance treatments can help prolong effects.

If you experience any unusual side effects, such as excessive swelling, difficulty swallowing, or asymmetry, contact your provider immediately.

Dermal Filler Injection Instructions

 Pre- Dermal Filler Treatment Instructions

To ensure optimal results and minimize complications, please follow these guidelines prior to your dermal filler treatment:

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: Discontinue use of aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or other blood-thinning supplements at least 3-5 days before your appointment (unless prescribed by a healthcare provider).
  • Limit Alcohol Consumption: Refrain from alcohol 24-48 hours before your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
  • No Dental Work: Avoid dental work 2 weeks before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment. 
  • No Active Skin Conditions:  If you have an active infection, recent vaccination, are currently taking antibiotics, have a rash or cold sore in the treatment area, please reschedule your appointment until these conditions have fully resolved.
  • No Waxing or Chemical Peels: Avoid waxing, chemical peels, or other harsh skin treatments in the area to be treated for 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • Notify Your Provider Prior to Appointment: Inform your injector if you have a history of allergies, any autoimmune conditions, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds prior to your appointment and for 48 hours after your appointment to ensure optimal skin health.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment for healthier skin and improved results.


Post- Dermal Filler Treatment Instructions

Proper aftercare is crucial to achieve the best results and minimize any side effects. Please follow these guidelines after your dermal filler treatment:

  • Avoid Touching the Area: Refrain from touching, massaging, or pressing on the treated area for at least 6 hours after the procedure to prevent the filler from shifting.
  • Stay Upright: Remain upright for 4-6 hours after your treatment to prevent unnecessary pressure on the injected areas.
  • Apply Cold Compress: If you experience swelling or bruising, apply a cold compress gently to the treated areas for 10-15 minutes at a time.
  • Avoid Strenuous Activity: Refrain from intense physical activity, exercise, or exposure to extreme heat (saunas, hot tubs, etc.) for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
  • Limit Alcohol & Blood Thinners: Continue to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 24 hours to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
  • No Facials or Skin Treatments: Avoid facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments for at least 1-2 weeks after your dermal filler treatment.
  • Sleep Position: Try to sleep with your head elevated for the first 2-3 nights to minimize swelling.
  • Be Patient with Results: Swelling may persist for a few days, but the final results will become more apparent within 2 weeks.
  • Monitor for Side Effects: Mild redness, swelling, or bruising are common and usually subside within a few days. However, if you experience unusual symptoms such as excessive swelling, pain, or lumps, contact your provider immediately.

Results & Follow-Up

  • Dermal filler results are visible immediately, with final outcomes becoming fully visible within 2 weeks.
  • The longevity of the results depends on the type of filler used and individual factors but typically lasts between 6-18 months. Regular touch-ups may be necessary to maintain your desired look.

Microneedling Instructions

Pre-Microneedling Treatment Instructions

To ensure the best results and minimize the risk of complications, please follow these guidelines before your microneedling session:

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: Discontinue any blood-thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E for at least 3-5 days prior to treatment.
  • Limit Sun Exposure: Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for 1-2 weeks before your treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin may increase the risk of irritation or pigmentation changes.
  • No Waxing or Chemical Peels: Do not wax, use harsh exfoliants, or undergo chemical peels in the treatment area for 1-2 weeks prior to the procedure.

Post- Microneedling Treatment Instructions

  • Avoid Touching the Treated Area: Do not touch, scratch, or pick at the treated area for 24 hours to prevent infection and irritation.
  • Stay Cool: Avoid hot showers, saunas, or intense heat for 24 hours post-treatment. This helps minimize swelling and irritation.
  • No Makeup for 24 Hours: Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours after the procedure to allow the skin to breathe and heal.
  • Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) to the treated area every 2 hours if exposed to sunlight. Avoid direct sun exposure for 1-2 weeks post-treatment.
  • Avoid Active Skincare: Refrain from using retinol, exfoliants, or active skincare products for 5-7 days following the procedure to allow your skin to recover.
  • Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser to wash your face for 3-5 days following treatment. Avoid harsh scrubbing or exfoliating.
  • Hydrate: Keep your skin well-moisturized with a gentle, hydrating moisturizer. This helps soothe the skin and supports the healing process.
  • Avoid Exercise: Refrain from strenuous physical activities, including heavy sweating or excessive movement, for 24-48 hours after treatment to prevent irritation.
  • Swelling and Redness: Mild redness, swelling, or slight dryness is common for the first 24-48 hours. These side effects should subside within a few days.
  • Monitor for Unusual Symptoms: If you experience excessive swelling, blistering, pain, or any other unusual symptoms, please contact your provider immediately.

Results & Follow-Up

  • Results Timeline: You may notice initial improvement within 1-2 weeks, but the full effects typically become visible after 4-6 weeks as collagen production continues.
  • Maintenance: Depending on your skin’s needs, multiple sessions may be recommended, typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.

  • Avoid Makeup: Refrain from applying makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment to allow the skin to heal and absorb the PRF effectively.

  • Follow-Up Care: Your provider may schedule a follow-up appointment in 2-4 weeks assess results and discuss any additional treatments needed.

Results & Maintenance

  • Results Timeline: You may begin to see visible improvements in skin texture, tone, and volume within 1-2 weeks. Full benefits can continue to develop over the course of 2-3 months as collagen production increases.
  • Maintenance: 3 sessions are recommended for optimal results. Maintenance treatments are typically recommended every 6-12 months to sustain results.
